Zoe Saldaña Steps Out in Satin Saint Laurent Slingbacks With Her Three Sons at the Santa Barbara Film Festival
Zoe Saldaña is maintaining her chic footwear style, having slid on a pair of satin slingback pumps from Saint Laurent to be honored with the American Riviera Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Feb. 12. The Oscar nominee was joined at the event by her three sons Cy, Bowie and Zen.
Saldaña, who accepted the award at the event on Wednesday, exuded a glamorous aura wearing a dark and shiny gown hailing from Thom Browne. Covered entirely in light-catching sequins, the dress featured a loosely-fitted top that slouched at the waist, transitioning into a full-length skirt with a column silhouette.
Among the many striking elements of her look, her hairstyle made a statement as well, with her tresses slicked back and woven into a long braid accessorized with black velvet bows from Jennifer Behr. She also wore rings and earrings from Yeprem.

Saldaña created a cohesive look with a pair of black satin slingback pumps from Saint Laurent resembling the brand’s L’Entracte silhouette. The versatile style makes sharp statements with a triangular pointed toe and a tapered stiletto heel; an elastic slingback strap secures the style and leaves more of the foot exposed than a standard pump. Crafted with subtly lustrous satin, the shoes offered an eye-catching but not overpowering accent to Saldaña’s glimmering Thom Browne gown. Saint Laurent would appear to be one of the “Avatar” star’s go-to footwear brands lately. For example, she attended the Director’s Guild of America Awards on Feb. 8 wearing a different pair of black Saint Laurent slingback pumps, a style that featured a square outline along the vamp.
The “Emilia Pérez” actress has shown off inspired taste in footwear throughout her career. Just recently, she drew attention with an elaborate pair of pumps from Christian Louboutin, the brand’s Belle and Jewels style which features a semi-sheer mesh upper, a crystal-embellished ankle strap, rete organza fabric wrapping around the ankle and a curvy, gold “chandelier” heel. She wore the ornate shoes during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Feb. 10.
