While in New Orleans to cheer on Travis Kelce during Super Bowl LIX, Taylor Swift stepped out on Feb. 8 for a dinner date with him — sporting Simkhai’s Joy Guipure Lace Mini Dress and a stunningly elegant pair of boots. These were the Eleanor Booties from Larroudé, an editor-loved line honored as Brand of the Year at the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards. While the booties are only available for pre-order, Larroudé has just dropped a ton of styles you can shop now, including color-happy Mary Janes, mules, pumps, and ballet flats meant to upgrade your spring wardrobe this year.

The Eleanor Booties — which feature a 1.6-inch platform, sturdy block heel, glossy black colorway, and laces for an overall punk-adjacent look — weren’t the first pair of Larroudé shoes that Taylor Swift has worn.

On Dec. 10, 2023, for instance, she stepped out in Larroudé’s Kate Hi Boot in black leather for the Chiefs vs. Bills game, which perfectly complemented her signature red lip, mini skirt, and oversized Chiefs sweatshirt. Interestingly enough, just a few days before this, Swift’s close friend Selena Gomez walked the streets of New York in the exact same boot but swathed in ivory. Good style, clearly, is contagious.

Larroudé was founded in 2020 by Marina Larroudé (who’s a Swiftie through and through, if you were curious) and her husband Ricardo: believers in the fact that “fashion is here to bring that sparkle and fantasy to our daily lives.” That being said, their brand’s shoe styles are innovative and fun-loving to the max, while being kind to the planet. The tanneries that Larroudé works with are Leather Working Group–certified, based on their sustainable measures, and brand packaging is made of 100-percent recyclable material. Average consumers and celebrities alike have taken notice of and promptly fallen in love with Larroudé, which — besides Swift and Gomez — considers Alicia Keys, Kate Hudson, Vanessa Hudgens, Camila Cabello, and more stars as part of its fan club.

Larroudé’s spring collection for 2025 is the ideal way to get a taste of this cult-favorite brand while freshening up your shoe rotation as you crawl out of hibernation. It’s chock-full of transitional styles like the Georgina Pump, which was first designed with fall in mind and is now reimagined for spring with a startling scarlet color, gold hardware, and cutesy ankle strap; the angular Franca Pump, benefitting from a raffia materiality that was one of spring 2025’s hottest runway trends; the Lee Ruffle Flat in denim, paying homage to Milan’s spring 2025 dominating shoe trend of flats with quirky twists; and beyond.

Perhaps one of the most prominent launches from Larroudé revolves around three new, neutrals-powered colorways of the iconic Larroudé x Altuzarra Pump, worn over the years by Heidi Klum, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Moore, and no shortage of other A-Listers. As of Feb. 8, it’s now offered in Navy Patent Leather, Titanium Patent Leather, and Tan Patent Leather, which are bound to reflect and match your wardrobe’s shift to lighter-and-brighter shades come spring. The pumps are sexy as can be, have a chic pointed toe, grant elevation via a 4.1-inch stiletto heel, and boast the brand’s memory foam cushion that prevents foot strain regardless of the heel height.

Need additional excuses to go on a Larroudé shopping spree ahead of the seasonal change? The brand dropped even more bold styles beyond the ones we’ve already mentioned. These include the eggplant-hued Verona Ballet Flat, outfitted in a soft-and-supple suede; the leopard-printed Venice Flat Mule, promising to never go out of style considering the perennial popularity of animal prints; and the Milan Fur Clog in Mushroom Grey Suede, which will give your feet the warmth required to endure those last dregs of winter while also gearing up for spring.

Take it from Taylor Swift and invest in a pair of Larroudé shoes today (or two, or even three!) — ensuring you stay on top of footwear trends without sacrificing comfort and versatility.

Taylor Swift’s Sexy, Sparkly Red Sandals at the Grammy Awards 2025 Are 50% Off Right Now https://footwearnews.com/shop/sandals/taylor-swifts-grammy-awards-2025-red-sandals-deal-1234764802/ Mon, 03 Feb 2025 20:08:18 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234764802 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. Though Taylor Swift left the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles empty-handed last night (after being nominated for six awards), her all-red monochromatic look of the evening left us absolutely speechless, thanks in part to the Casadei Cappa Blade Stratosphere heels that elongated her legs. Swift also donned an asymmetrical Vivienne Westwood couture dress, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, and her signature lip.

While you might not be able to take home those beautiful jewels, the striking Casadei heels are currently 50 percent off on the brand’s site. No, you’re not dreaming: Many celebrities’ red carpet looks and custom footwear during the Grammy Awards this year are utterly unattainable, but you can actually achieve Swift’s aesthetic-of-choice for the night (which, dare we suggest, was inspired by the Chiefs’ team color?).

Casadei’s Cappa Blade Stratosphere Sandals feature thin straps decked out in crystal embellishments, a fierce 12-centimeter blade heel, and an oh-so-soft suede material. The Italian-made shoes also have adjustable ankle straps for a perfect fit. For those who are too timid to go bold in red, Casadei offers the shoes in the Jet Ematite and Black hue — also crafted out of suede and boasting crystal embellishments that dazzle.

Casadei was founded in 1958 by the Italian couple Quinto and Flora Casadei, with the initial mission of selling sandals meant for holidays on the Italian Riviera. Currently, Casadei is helmed by Quinto and Flora’s son, Cesare, who serves as the brand’s creative director — envisioning and executing designs for not only footwear but also sculptural, high-quality bags. Swift, as it turns out, isn’t Casadei’s only celebrity fan. In fact, Eva Longoria, Aubrey Plaza, Idina Menzel, and Olivia Wilde have all flaunted its fashion-forward heels at one point.

Swift’s outfit last night generated much buzz, specifically because it seemed to contain many Easter eggs (which the star is known for peppering into everything from her lyrics to her social media posts and music videos). People, for instance, are speculating that the “T” rosary charm around her leg was an ode to her present boyfriend Travis Kelce: specifically because one of her songs, “Guilty as Sin,” bears the lyric “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh.” Her hue of the evening itself — an unabashedly bold red — is believed to have been related to her album “Red” (particularly the re-recorded, reclaimed version she released in 2021).

Swift’s choice of footwear for the 67th Grammy Awards was a masterful one, given the fact that the red sandals from Casadei were simple yet sexy: accentuating her long gams while pairing seamlessly with the draped corseted bodice of her Vivienne Westwood dress. The whole ensemble (formulated by Swift’s stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer) is ripe with Valentine’s Day inspiration — especially when considering the fact that you can ring in February 14 wearing her exact shoes, for half the retail price.

The news isn’t all good, as the heels are almost fully sold out in most sizes and retail for $525 despite the discount. We did some digging, however, and found alternative footwear that’s also more than 50 percent off today, with the much more affordable price tag of $59.97. These are the Adriane Jeweled Strap Sandals from Jewel Badgley Mischka, with crystal adornments, a similarly red colorway, and a heel length clocking in at a little over nine centimeters. The budget-conscious counterpart also comes in a variety of color options, including Silver, Champagne, and Steel Blue (besides the red that Swift would no doubt approve of most).

If you want to match the “Fortnight” singer precisely, though, and are dying to grab the Casadei sandals for yourself, we recommend doing so sooner rather than later. Inventory is running very low, so don’t wait too long to step into her shoes this Valentine’s Day.

Ugg’s Y2K-style Classic Ultra Mini Boot Tops Lyst Index’s Hottest Products List of Q4 2024 https://footwearnews.com/shop/boots/ugg-classic-ultra-mini-boot-lyst-index-q4-2024-hottest-shoes-1234762525/ Wed, 29 Jan 2025 17:58:37 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234762525 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. Gen Z has spoken: The Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Boot was one of the hottest products of Q4 2024 and the hottest shoe style to close out the year, according to a Lyst Index report released today. Lyst, considered to be one of the world’s biggest fashion shopping platforms, unveils a detailed summary of the industry’s most popular products and brands each quarter, based on deep analyses of consumer behavior, social media activity, and other sources. This means that people are as starry-eyed as ever for Uggs, and the proof is in the numbers, which makes now the perfect time to shop for a pair if you still don’t have one (or many) on your own shoe rack. After all, though the Ugg brand might be über-trendy right now, its selections stand the test of time with high-quality construction, features like water repellency, as well as the sheer timelessness of the boots’ aesthetic.

This quarter’s demand for Uggs is “unprecedented,” the company reports: marked by a 358-percent increase in searches for the brand over the last three months. Reasons for this pronounced popularity spike are multiple, including the fact that a kind of nostalgic-for-Y2K sentiment has been floating around the world of fashion for some time now (and there’s nothing as nostalgia-inducing as a pair of Uggs!). Additionally, celebrities have been adding fuel to the fire.

Last October, for instance, Post Malone was tapped for a launch campaign of the All Gender Tasman Weather Hybrid Uggs, whose blue soles deviate from the brand’s traditionally brown leanings. Organic celebrity sightings featuring Uggs have also been frequent in recent history, including Timothée Chalamet sporting black boots at a Jan. 27 Knicks game and Saturday Night Live appearance two days prior, as well as Kendall Jenner pairing the Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Boots — the very style that Lyst deemed “king” — with a simple black legging late last year. For Jenner, this wasn’t a one-time-only product placement. In fact, she seems to be a genuine fan of the boots, having been spotted wearing the same ones in 2021 and 2023, in tandem with other versions of a comfy loungewear fit.

Riding this wave of mass appeal, Ugg has been hosting quite a number of pop-up experiences to get fans better acquainted with their offerings, which included taking over The Corner shop space at Nordstrom’s flagship in NYC for the holidays and putting on display a menagerie of shoppable Ugg footwear, outerwear, sportswear, and beyond.

Uggs have always enjoyed seasonal success, as demonstrated by 2023’s Q4 report from Lyst, in which the brand’s Tasman Slipper received a ranking of sixth place on the hottest product list. Thus, it’s no surprise to see the brand continuing to have such a colloquial chokehold on the public this winter. What’s notable is the shift towards Y2K footwear that’s gained momentum over the years, a category which the Classic Ultra Mini Boots are more a part of than the slippers, with their low-profile silhouette and multihued stitching.

Given these tangible statistics and the celebrity-fueled hype that’s attached itself to the Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Boots as of late, we have a good feeling this particular style will fly off the shelves in 2025. Snagging a pair now will help your feet stay warm and toasty all through winter, but the best news is that these Uggs are a perfect pair of shoes for transitional weather: able to be go hand in hand with a light pair of leggings (as Kendall Jenner so masterfully demonstrated) or even a shorts situation. They’re a suede-powered gift that keeps on giving, boasting a timeless kind of appeal factor.
