Extremities far from the heart — such as the feet — are first to be affected by poor circulation, and that’s especially true for people with diabetes. Wearing specific shoes is one way to manage diabetes-related concerns like swelling and tingling, and there’s no shortage of comfortable options for men and women.

“People with diabetes are prone to foot and leg problems because they’re more likely to develop poor circulation and nerve damage known as neuropathy,” says podiatrist Elizabeth Daughtry, DPM. Neuropathy can cause anything from odd sensations (such as swelling, numbness, tingling, burning, or even coldness) to no sensation at all in the feet, aka “losing protective threshold.” Someone with reduced circulation and sensation could step on an object, get injured, and not feel a thing.

“You won’t notice it until you’ve already started to have issues,” says podiatrist Mike Rushton, DPM. What would be a small annoyance — say, a rock in a shoe — can lead to severe injury. Dr. Rushton has seen this occur with items as minor as a feather or apple seed stuck in a shoe, or objects as severe as a metal nail that a patient didn’t feel. Diabetes can also reduce blood flow to the feet, making it even more difficult to heal an injury or resist infection. “Poor circulation will subsequently compromise the flow of oxygen, nutrients, and white blood cells necessary to fight off infection,” Dr. Daughtry offers. But as problematic as neuropathy can be, the condition can be managed with the right footwear.

A 2019 review published in the Journal of Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders found that therapeutic and orthopedic shoes specifically made for diabetics can help reduce the risk of developing ulcers and other injuries tied to diabetes. “Picking the right shoes is important for people with diabetes because, if you don’t protect your feet appropriately, you could develop a non-healing wound that may subsequently put you at risk for an amputation or even a life-threatening emergency,” says podiatrist Miguel Cunha, DPM.

What exactly goes into a quality diabetic shoe for men and women? A wide fit, plenty of depth, and soft interiors plus linings are key to avoiding rubbing and chafing that can lead to sores and injuries, says Dr. Rushton. There are plenty of diabetic shoes on the market — including slippers for diabetics, slip-on sneakers, walking shoes, and comfortable sandals — that boast all these qualities.

To narrow down this list of the best shoes for diabetics, we researched top options on the market and spoke to industry-leading podiatrists, who provided picks they personally recommend. Shop these expert-approved diabetic shoes below.

11 Best Shoes for Diabetics 2025
Anodyne No. 45 Women’s Sport Joggers
Size range: 5 to 12 women’s
Materials: Mesh upper
Special features: Wide toe box; extra depth; removable insole; stabilizing heel counter; available in wide and extra-wide
Anodyne is a shoe brand that truly devotes itself to providing footwear solutions for those suffering from conditions like diabetes, plantar fasciitis, bunions, Charcot foot, and beyond. This particular women’s sneaker style suits those experiencing diabetes and/or neuropathy, as it’s equipped with extra depth (that is capable of accommodating custom orthotics), a removable insole which can be swapped for custom-molded inserts if need be, and a microfiber lining that does the double duty of preventing blisters and reducing friction.

The No. 45 Women’s Sport Joggers also boast the A5500 Diabetic Shoes certification, which means they meet Medicare and other health insurance provider specifications for coverage (see more about this in our FAQs below). The fact that the shoes are free of laces makes them a trusty choice for older individuals with mobility issues, too, and the three colorway options ensure the supportive kicks are anything but boring.

New Balance 990v4 Sneakers
Size range: 7.5 to 15 men’s
Materials: Pigskin leather and mesh upper
Special features: Made of durable yet soft leather; well-padded tongue; wide toe box
Diabetics with neuropathy are especially susceptible to numbness in the feet — and for that reason, it’s important they choose shoes with a roomy fit that won’t cause harmful rubbing and chafing. The New Balance Made in USA 990v4 sneakers come recommended by Dr. Rushton and Dr. Cunha because they’re lightweight, comfortable, and durable. “They are cushioned and supportive with a well-padded tongue and collar for additional ankle stability and protection,” Dr. Cunha says. Plus, they have a firm, supportive midsole, and the toe box is very wide, which is ideal for neuropathic diabetics who need wide-fitting shoes. They’re also made of soft and flexible leather, and you can count on these kicks to effortlessly add street-style flair to any wardrobe.

What testers say: “These are the most comfortable shoes… period! I suffer from fibromyalgia and have to wear extremely lightweight diabetic socks. Their shoes are lightweight and provide adequate support (with the proper ortho insert). I wear these shoes every day and I have owned nine pairs. They made several improvements, but the best is the slip-proof tongue.”

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 Sneakers
Size range: 7 to 15 men’s; 5 to 12 women’s
Materials: Recycled materials and mesh upper
Special features: Cushioned support aids feet, knees, and hips; available in wide and extra-wide
These comfortable sneakers for women and men have a wide toe box to reduce the constriction of blood vessels and help promote circulation in the feet. What’s more, they’re practically tailor-made for folks with diabetes because they provide superior heel stability and soft cushioned arch support to prevent overpronation, or the inward rolling of the feet. When your feet overpronate, pressure accumulates underneath your metatarsals (the long bones in your feet). Over time, this can lead to painful calluses that may ulcerate and cause infections, according to Dr. Cunha.

What testers say: “These shoes are so comfortable. This Adrenaline style is all I’ve worn for the last three years. I’m a hairstylist, so I wear these every day at work. I’m diabetic also and need the support.”

Hoka Clifton 9 Sneakers
Size range: 7 to 16 men’s; 5 to 12 women’s
Materials: Recycled polyester
Special features: Supportive cushioning; wide toe box; rigid heel counter
One of Dr. Cunha’s favorite brands to recommend to patients with diabetes is Hoka. “These sneakers stand out compared to other brands because they have a wider toe box and can more comfortably accommodate a wide forefoot to minimize the formation or aggravation of common foot conditions associated with wide feet, including bunions, hammertoes, ingrown nails, and neuromas,” he says. On top of that, Hoka Cliftons come in a wide version, so you can add even more width, and are equipped with superior cushioning from specially engineered EVA foam that’s surprisingly lightweight. They have thick rubber soles that provide excellent support and shock absorption as well as a rigid heel counter, which provides structure and stability to support the foot and maintain proper mechanics with every heel strike, Dr. Cunha tells us. Considering all these stellar features, it’s no surprise that the Cliftons — top walking shoes for diabetics — have the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance, which means they promote good foot health.

What testers say: “I bought these for my mother who has diabetic neuropathy and she absolutely loves them. She said she feels like she is walking on clouds!”

Skechers Slip-In Go Walk 7 Sneakers
Size range: 8 to 13 men’s; 6 to 11 women’s
Materials:
Stretch knit upper
Special features:
Stretchy and breathable material; good cushion
These slip-on sneakers have super-responsive cushioning with a high-rebound insole. Reviewers call them some of the best shoes for standing all day, thanks to their lightweight and flexible fit that’s easy to slip on. “The Skechers Go Walk shoes are a good option for diabetics due to the laceless fit design that offers a breathable athletic mesh upper, the responsive 5GEN cushioning, and a Goga Max high rebound response for assistance with propulsion,” Dr. Daughtry says. “Many older diabetics have trouble with lace-up shoes, so a laceless option is a very important shoe aspect that’s often overlooked.” The upper allows air to circulate while the soft fabric lining ensures comfort at every angle, making these a great everyday shoe

What testers say: “I wear these shoes around the house when I’m doing housework or cooking. They have very solid support for when I’m moving or standing in place. I have less aches and pains and they help me maintain good posture while standing.”

Orthofeet Lava Sneakers
Size range: 7 to 14 men’s
Materials: Stretchy knit upper
Special features: Cushioned sole; pressure-relieving rocker bottom
These Orthofeet orthopedic shoes offer a wide toe box with a soft-padded fabric interior to alleviate pressure on swollen feet as well as pain from other common foot concerns, such as bunions and hammertoes. “The shoe has a cushioned sole with a mild rocker bottom to improve the ease of walking and propulsion but offers a rubber outsole to provide grip and improved stability, which is better for someone with balance issues or neuropathy,” Dr. Daughtry says. These come with an Arch Booster that you can pop in for added arch support — a bonus if you have flat feet

What testers say: “I got a new pair of OrthoFeet Lava Stretch Knit shoes a few weeks before a trip to Spain. Over seven days in Madrid, Toledo, and Segovia, I walked an average of 25,000 steps a day, with several 10 mile days. One thing to know about Madrid before you go is that it is HILLY! My OrthoFeet shoes kept me comfortable and pain-free for the whole trip. No hot spots, no arch pain. I’ve only bought OrthoFeet shoes since they relieved my plantar fasciitis in 2020. This trip validates my choice — I’m a customer for life.”

Asics Gel-Nimbus 27 Sneakers
Size range: 6 to 16 men’s; 5 to 13 women’s
Materials: Jacquard mesh upper
Special features: Stretchy, breathable materials; soft and responsive cushion; extra-wide option for some sizes/colorways
Cushioned sneakers are an important addition to a footwear wardrobe for people with diabetes, and the Asics Gel Nimbus (as their name aptly suggests) are so plush, you’ll feel like you’re walking on a cloud. “When people with diabetes lose the ability to feel pain from neuropathy, it impairs their ability to detect harmful stimuli that may lead to the formation of potentially dangerous foot ulcers and wounds,” Dr. Cunha says. “[These shoes] feature a full-length gel cushioning system that… minimizes pressure on key areas, such as the heel and forefoot, reducing the risk of developing wounds.” The aforementioned cushioning provides shock absorption and softness in equal measure, which is ideal if you are on your feet all day. And the knit material is very breathable and stretchy, giving your feet the room they need to move freely.

What testers say: “Have worn out my trusty shoes from a physically intensive job and have been dealing with aching feet for months on end. Since having these new shoes, my feet have been healing and it’s been helping a lot with managing everything else. Love the wider toe box, breathable fabric, and great support. Absolutely recommend!”

Dr. Comfort Women’s Annie X Shoes
Size range: 5.5 to 11 women’s
Materials: Lycra and leather
Special features: Available in wide and extra-wide; stretchy materials; can fit molded brace
Dr. Comfort’s Annie X style is the ultimate pick in comfortable, accommodative diabetic orthopedic shoes for women. “It is double-depth, which means that is enough room for deformities such as hammertoes and bunions,” Dr. Daughtry says. And if you still find that you need more room, these come in regular, wide, and extra-wide options. “They are deep enough to accommodate any type of custom-molded AFO brace if needed,” Dr. Daughtry explains. Stretchy lycra material in the upper also works to protect prominent toes, and the velcro closure allows ease for slipping on and off. These are some of the best dress shoes diabetics, and they’re versatile enough to wear while running errands or heading to the office.

What testers say: “Bought these for my mother who suffers from diabetic neuropathy and has sore feet. Great support, keeps her feet comfortable and offers protection.”

Saucony Triumph 22 Wide Sneakers
Size range: 7 to 15 men’s; 5 to 12 women’s
Materials: Recycled materials
Special features: Foam-powered, cushioned footbed; wide toe box; breathable materials
Saucony is known for making some of the most comfortable running shoes, and these Triumph sneakers’ soft cushion and wide toe box make them especially fit for people with diabetes and other foot conditions. “These shoes are formulated… to give superior cushioning that is plush and springy with every step and [to] minimize diabetic nerve pain associated with overpronation,” Dr. Cunha says. “[They] are also wide to accommodate your forefoot comfortably by minimizing pressure that may contribute to numbness and tingling associated with diabetic neuropathy.” The Saucony shoes are done in an ultra-breathable material that won’t leave you feeling constricted, too.

What testers say: “The Triumph fits my foot well and the Wide version allows my ‘Freddy Flintstone’ wide feet plenty of toe box room. The heel cushioning really absorbs the shock of each step, and there is also ample cushioning under the balls of my feet. I had virtually no break-in time.”

Best orthopedic shoes for diabetics
Dr. Comfort Women’s Refresh X Sneakers
Size range: 4 to 12 women’s
Materials: Mesh upper
Special features: No-tie style; wide and deep; breathable mesh material
“This particular Dr. Comfort shoe is my favorite for diabetics that have swelling in their feet as it is a versatile and stylish cross-trainer shoe that is high-performance,” Dr. Daughtry says. “The double-depth shoe offers a no-tie elastic lace system and is built one-fourth of an inch deeper to accommodate for severe toe deformities, excessive swelling, or the use of an AFO brace and diabetic insoles,” she continues. The lace-free style means they’re easy to slip into, and the protective toe box means a lower risk of injury if you stub your toe. Constructed with breathable mesh uppers, these shoes will also keep your feet sweat-free.

What testers say: “These shoes are perfect in every way. From the second I started putting the first shoe on, I could tell they were going to meet all my expectations, and they have! They fit magnificently, with the right arch support, great tie space, and perfect width. I have to add an orthopedic lift to the heel, and that worked out well also.”

Best Sandals for Diabetics
Naot Women’s Catania Sandals
Size range: 4 to 11.5 women’s
Materials: Leather
Special features: Adjustable straps; removable footbed; wide width; soft leather
These Mary Jane shoes are some of the most fashionable shoes for diabetics. We love that the Catania sandal has a removable footbed that adds support, as well as a hook and loop strap you can adjust for swelling. “The removable anatomic cork and latex insole does mold to the shape of the foot with wear but also allows for the ability to use custom orthotics,” Dr. Daughtry says. This APMA-accepted sandal has a wide width, a soft leather upper, and is slip-resistant. Additionally, it offers a lightweight but durable polyurethane sole that’s slightly elevated (at a little over an inch) to help reduce pressure on the achilles and calf muscles.

What testers say: “My dream come true — a pair of comfortable Mary Janes. Room for my toes and with just enough arch support. Love them.”

What to Look For in the Best Shoes for People With Diabetes

  • Cushioning in the forefoot: The most comfortable shoes for diabetics will include extra cushioning. This helps to relieve pressure on the feet and therefore reduce the risk of friction, sores, or blisters. Cushion in top sneakers and the best tennis shoes for diabetics is especially important for older people with diabetes, because they often experience a loss of fat padding in the feet that can cause thinning of the skin, bony protrusions, or pressure points, according to Dr. Daughtry. Look for extra cushion in the forefoot of the shoe, specifically. You’ll also want to avoid too much cushion in the midsole of the shoe, which can make it harder for people with diabetes to “feel the ground” and thus maintain proprioception and proper balance, Dr. Daughtry says. She adds the following: “In diabetics with neuropathy, this is one of the first and most commonly lost sensations, therefore increasing the risk of falls in patients that already have a high rate and risk of falls.”
  • Wide toe box: Many people with diabetes have toe and foot deformities that need to be accommodated with a wider toe box. Having the extra space can help avoid friction, shoe irritation, and subsequent potential for skin breakdown, ulceration, and infection, Dr. Daughtry tells Footwear News. A wider toe box is especially important for diabetics with neuropathy because they often have a difficult time feeling any friction or pressure in their feet. Some of the best open-toe shoes for diabetics, such as comfortable walking sandals, make for a stellar option in the sunny months.
  • Stretchy materials: Look for shoes with a stretchy mesh material in the upper and toe box area to accommodate any foot deformities. This also helps the feet breathe and better regulate skin temperature, per Dr. Daughtry. She also recommends a soft non-abrasive shoe lining to avoid any pressure issues when wearing closed shoes like sneakers. If you love the great outdoors, many of these features can be found in the best water shoes for diabetics, too.
  • Comfortable fit: Pick shoes with plenty of cushioning (especially in the forefoot area) and with plenty of heel and arch support, Dr. Daughtry recommends. “Ideally, diabetics should wear extra-depth diabetic shoes with custom molded diabetic insoles,” she says. And if you’re buying online, always try on shoes in your home to make sure they make for a truly comfortable fit before deciding to keep them.

Does Medicare Cover Diabetic Shoes?

Per calendar year, Medicare Part B covers either one pair of custom-molded shoes and inserts or one pair of extra-depth shoes — in addition to either two extra pairs of inserts for custom-molded shoes or three pairs of inserts for extra-depth shoes. However, you may have to pay a bit out of pocket: After you meet your Part B deductible, you’ll be responsible for 20 percent of the total cost.

It’s worth noting that in order to qualify to receive these benefits under the diabetic shoe program, you must meet certain guidelines, such as having poor circulation or a history of foot concerns like calluses and ulcers. The specific shoe must also meet certain requirements to be able to qualify as a “diabetic shoe,” Dr. Daughtry says. Evaluate the full list of criteria here.

Saucony’s New Galentine’s Shoe Collection Wants You to Say It With Sneakers This Valentine’s Day https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/saucony-valentines-day-sneakers-1234757797/ Thu, 16 Jan 2025 15:30:11 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234757797 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Footwear News may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

This year, Valentine’s Day is for the girls.

Ahead of Feb. 14, Saucony has unveiled new versions of two of its women’s running shoe styles, the Triumph 22 and the ProGrid Triumph 4. The limited-edition sneakers are meant to celebrate the most important women in your life, emphasizing the movement in recent years to make Valentine’s Day inclusive of non-romantic love, à la Galentine’s Day, which celebrates female friendship.

You won’t find any pink, red, or heart motifs on the appropriately named Galentine’s Day Triumph 22 and Galentine’s Day ProGrid Triumph 4. Instead, Saucony leaned into neutral shades with subtle, feminine details that are crowd-pleasing not merely for the month of February, but year-round.

The Galentine’s Day Triumph 22 is one of the heritage American running brand’s top cushioned running shoe styles for women, designed to support you on daily runs. It utilizes Saucony’s PWRRUN PB foam for lots of cushioning and comfort, boasting more energy return than its predecessors.

The Galentine’s Day edition has all the same performance specs as other Triumph 22 kicks, but is rendered in a flattering cream shade reminiscent of the perfect off-white linen shirt. The cream knit upper is accented with gold and cream leather details. Arguably the most interesting detail is the scalloped shoe lace, which provides a subtle dash of design thoughtfulness.

With its neutral support, the Galentine’s Day Triumph 22 sneakers are also excellent walking shoes for women who aren’t runners.

Saucony’s Triumph 22 running shoes are included in the limited-edition Galentine’s drop.

The Galentine’s Day ProGrid Triumph 4 features the same luxurious cream and gold neutral tones. Originally launched in 2007, the ProGrid Triumph 4 is inspired by chunky, retro style sneakers. Also a proven running shoe, the medial panel features Saucony’s Arch-lock technology for superior arch support.

Saucony’s Galentine’s iteration of the ProGrid Triumph 4 sneakers feature a pop of gold on the upper. Courtesy

The Galentine’s Day version combines white and light gold metallic leather with cream-colored mesh for a harmonious, tonal color palette. These comfortable shoes for women are athletically equipped for your next run, but chic enough to be your go-to sneakers for running around town.

Both the Galentine’s Day ProGrid Triumph 4 and Galentine’s Day Triumph 22 come with a removable tag that reads “crème de la crème,” a fitting nod to the gals in your life who deserve to know how loved they are.

Priced at $160, both limited-edition styles are available to shop now on Saucony.com

Hurry to Shop These Rihanna-Worn Royal Blue Fenty x Puma Avanti Sneakers https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/rihanna-fenty-puma-royal-blue-avanti-sneakers-1234757665/ Thu, 16 Jan 2025 15:00:00 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234757665 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. You can now get your hands — or rather, feet — on Rihanna’s latest Fenty x Puma collaboration.

Done in a striking royal blue, the Fenty x Puma Avanti LS Sneakers are available for men and women today, Jan. 16., on Puma.com. This redux of the Avanti style has the same cool fold over tongue as its predecessor but lacks its subtle platform, instead embracing an on-trend low profile silhouette. The signature short gum studs — a nod to soccer cleats— are now merely a design detail on the heel rather than making up the entire outsole.

According to Puma, soccer was Rihanna’s key inspiration in designing the Avanti LS sneaker, with its minimalistic, sporty shape. The style references the Puma King soccer cleats, but with some fashion-first twists, like the notice-me royal blue colorway, cream accents, and gold lettering. Rendered in luxurious suede leather, the material confirms the sneakers are intended as walking shoes for women and men, rather than actual athletic wear, because who wants grass stains on sneakers this chic?

The Avanti LS is stylistically linked to other Puma shoes from the archive, too, like the similarly slim Speedcat sneakers that take inspiration from driving shoes and are regularly sold out across various sizes and colors. The Avanti LS also feels similar to the Puma Mostro shoe with its close fit and cool interpretation of traditional cleat studs.

It’s always a win when comfortable shoes for women and men are front and center in leading celebrity style trends. Rihanna recently gave a  masterclass in how to elevate the Avanti LS for a night out when she was spotted wearing them at her favorite Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in New York City.

Rihanna recently wore the new Fenty x Puma Avanti LS sneakers with loose jeans and a statement fur coat in New York City. Backgrid

The fashion icon was pictured wearing a satin bustier and boxers beneath blue jeans and a fur-trimmed coat with her Avanti LS sneakers. Rihanna furthered the case for blue accessories with her bag, too, a Louis Vuitton Nano Speedy in Monogram Denim. By mixing dressy and casual pieces, she managed to pull off comfortable glamour, an ethos we can all get behind in 2025.

Rihanna first joined forces with Puma back in 2014, when she was appointed creative director of the company’s women’s collection. She went on to head the Fenty x Puma collaboration, which spawned hits like the Fenty Puma Creeper sneaker

After a hiatus, Rihanna and Puma rejoined forces in 2023 with the Avanti sneaker. She’s been spotted rocking the style more than once in the last year, like when she wore the Fenty x Puma Avanti Pony limited-edition style in December.

Including the Avanti LS, there are currently three Fenty x Puma Avanti sneakers for sale across women’s, men’s, and kids’ sizes on the Puma website, plus a couple of different iterations like the Avanti L still available with retailers including Farfetch and Revolve.

The Avanti LS is available now for men and women for $120 on Puma.com

The Best adidas Leather Shoes for Comfort With Elevated Style https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/best-adidas-leather-shoes-1234751977/ Wed, 01 Jan 2025 16:55:58 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234751977 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. adidas sneakers refuse to be pigeonholed. With decidedly sporty origins, today’s array of retro-inspired adidas leather sneakers elevate the humble athletic silhouette to street style warriors, boardroom-appropriate accessories, and even evening wear.

For 2025, Footwear News shoe editors have their eyes on several premium leather versions of adidas classics, which manage to fuse vintage timelessness with today’s trends. Think: sophisticated takes on burgundy sneakers, or a bright pop of red amid your go-to whites and blacks. In addition to winter sneaker color trends, new hybrid styles like a Samba with brogue details instantly upgrade the silhouette, expanding the possibilities of where you can sport your most comfortable shoes. It’s a welcome continuation of the sneaker-loafer trend.

Key to adidas’ trending 2025 styles are its leather offerings’ slim silhouettes. Styles like the Japan Shoe emphasize a more dapper and less ostentatious sneaker mood, quietly commanding attention rather than screaming to be noticed. Ditto for the Taekwondo Shoe, another of the best winter sneakers that introduces elegant details like quilted leather.

Ultimately, adidas leather sneakers remain popular for delivering the textural sophistication of a leather shoe in the comfortable package of your favorite sneakers for daily wear. The easy upgrade from your canvas duds will allow you to put your best foot forward in the new year. Watch this space for all the 2025 adidas collaborations to come, and shop our curated editor-tested guide for the best adidas leather sneakers to wear now.

adidas Sambae Shoes
adidas Sambae Shoes
If the Adidas Samba was 2024 and 2023’s casual hero sneaker, consider the Sambae a necessary upgrade to embody new year, new you. This premium version of one of adidas’ most iconic looks comes in several colorways and features an oversized “gum” outsole, plus on-trend suede accents.
adidas Taekwondo Shoes
adidas Taekwondo Shoes
Plenty of sneakers have their stylistic roots planted in sports like soccer and basketball, but adidas Taekwondo shoes pay homage to martial arts. This archival style from the early 2000s is already celebrity-endorsed and destined for a resurgence in 2025. In line with other trending footwear, the quilted details are a luxurious detail.
adidas Samba LT Shoes
adidas Samba LT Shoes
Like the Taekwondo shoes, the adidas Samba LT makes a case for slip-on sneakers. Launched in June 2024 in a blue colorway, our shoe editors like the classic black and white renditions. The oversized fold-over tongue lends the sneaker a relaxed street style swagger.
adidas Japan Shoes
adidas Japan Shoes
Fashion lovers, consider the adidas Japan shoe a style requirement for the new year. The archival sneaker combines vintage craftsmanship with contemporary cool, thanks to the stylish pop of color. The Japan shoe is destined for a spot in your regular sneaker rotation.
adidas Country Japan Shoes
adidas Country Japan Shoes
The aforementioned japan shoe’s predecessor, the adidas Country Japan shoe, has gone viral in the past year, thanks to its sleek, understated silhouette and embrace of a retro aesthetic. Snap up the monochrome style in your size while it’s in stock.
adidas Samba OG Shoes in burgundy
adidas Samba OG Shoes
Burgundy has emerged as the dominant color trend this winter across men’s and women’s accessories. Burgundy sneakers, in particular, are a style hack to liven up all your wardrobe staples. You won’t find a sneaker more sophisticated than these leather adidas Samba OG shoes in the shade.
adidas Samba OG Shoes in brown leather
adidas Samba OG Shoes
Speaking of trending shades, brown leather gives the adidas Samba OG shoes an entirely different energy. The rich chocolate color and brogue details make these sneakers appropriate for evening, but they’re just as comfortable as every other sneaker you own. Expect more hybrid style shoes in the new year, coasting off the popularity of sneaker loafers this past year.

The Best On Shoes to Wear for More Than Just Running https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/best-on-shoes-1234751956/ Wed, 01 Jan 2025 16:14:08 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234751956 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. Although the brand has only been around for fifteen years, some of the best ON shoes have practically become daily essentials with how often they’re striding down sidewalks. The Zurich-bred performance label prides itself on its Swiss roots and unrivaled engineering, the latter of which has revolutionized footwear innovation tenfold, helping discover how a pair of shoes can adapt to your every move and not vice versa.

Since 2009, the constantly evolving materials and technologies that complete each pair have set the brand apart. From its unmistakable CloudTec cushioning system to the trusty Speedboard plate and numerous other patented elements, ON continues to push the boundaries in its space.

But even though its wide-spread impact is deeply based in performancewear, the FNAA’s 2024 Brand of the Year award winner has also shown itself to be versatile enough to collaborate with celebrities and big-name fashion houses. Since 2022, ON has collaborated with LOEWE several times to reimagine the former’s polarizing silhouettes with playful yet refined color palettes, pushing them to a sleeker end of the style spectrum than suggested by most tech bros.

Last summer, Zendaya and ON partnered on a multi-year deal that has already delivered successful seasonal campaigns and a reimagined colorway, going to show that the brand has become an influential name even among some of this generation’s biggest names.

While the fictional tennis star was even seen sporting pairs throughout the Challengers press tour, the legendary Roger Federer is another name responsible for making ON a go-to brand for world-class athletes. After becoming a shareholder in 2019, the fellow Swiss native’s signature shoe was released in 2020 and has seen several spawns since.

Whether you’re running, walking, or hiking, ON has already been a major player in each footwear space for quite some time. Get in on the action and give your feet the comfort they deserve with the best ON shoes.

ON Cloudsurfer Next Shoes
ON Cloudsurfer Next Shoes
Boasting a revamped forefoot rocker for more dynamic toe-off, the Cloudsurfer Next’s updated design is a lightweight lifesaver engineered to make daily runs effortless. ON’s streamlined design features Helion superfoam and a CloudTec Phase midsole that work hand-in-hand to assure unmatched comfort from heel to toe. Up top, an ultra-breathable, woven mesh upper guarantees a secure session.
ON Cloudtilt Shoes
ON Cloudtilt Shoes
While the Loewe collaboration is hard to snag, you can still pick up a standard pair at a fraction of the price that packs all the same comfort. Perfect for running your everyday errands, the shoe’s strategically cushioned midsole supports your foot’s every move. Best of all, the shoe’s engineered mesh upper is sustainably made using recycled polyester and a unique dyeing process.
ON Cloudpulse Shoes
ON Cloudpulse Shoes
The Swiss performance giant’s first-ever gym-tailored design is fit for anything from HIIT to cardio and everything in between. It boasts a roomy toe box that helps your foot move naturally for ergonomic support and premier stability. To help you maintain the range of stances necessary for any session, the Cloudpulse features a Speedboard that promotes dynamic movement while staying impressively flexible.
ON Cloudvista 2 Shoes
ON Cloudvista 2 Shoes
The new generation of ON’s popular trail running sneaker boasts a redesigned rocker motion that makes each step as soft as, you guessed it, a cloud. And even though the original Missiongrip rubber outsole got the job done, the newly engineered take offers enhanced traction and much larger lugs. In case you need these shoes to last a harsh winter, then consider the brand’s waterproof spin on its popular trainer.
ON Cloudnova 2 Shoes
ON Cloudnova 2 Shoes
This overnight icon is suitable for countless scenarios – buying groceries, getting coffee, dog-walking, or coding – and has a versatile design to back it up from top to bottom. With its redesigned underfoot wall for added stability and feathery foam accents composed of renewable materials, the everyday sneaker is a perfect, eco-friendly choice you can wear on countless walks.
ON Cloudmonster 2 Shoes
ON Cloudmonster 2 Shoes
Backed by maximum cushioning and energy return, there’s no way dedicated road runners can go wrong with the latest Cloudmonster. Towering over ON’s other pairs, its forward-rolling style encourages momentum and offers remarkable propulsion. Much of this is thanks to the proprietary Speedboard, designed to assure impact absorption and combat all sorts of hard landings.
ON Cloudmonster Hyper Shoes
ON Cloudmonster Hyper Shoes
Two monsters in a row? What is this? Halloween? Nope, it’s just the lightest pair of Cloudmonsters you can find. Designed by athletes for athletes, this innovative design removes the Speedboard from the last pair to promote post-training recovery and ultimately shed some weight. However, the silhouette retains its eco-friendly construction, assuring your carbon footprint stays low whenever you take a step.
ON The Roger Advantage Shoes
ON The Roger Advantage Shoes
If you need to find something casual and discreet within ON’s catalog of offerings, any silhouette from Roger Federer’s lineup will do. In this case, the Advantage’s simple design and comfort-first construction make it a foot-friendly staple. Whether you wear them to the courts or on long walks around town, the sock liner and CloudTec cushioning co-exist to guarantee you stay nothing short of comfortable.
ON Cloudhorizon Shoes
ON Cloudhorizon Shoes
Our guide to ON’s best shoes wouldn’t be complete without a worthy pair for your next adventure. The brand touts its mountain-ready Cloudhorizon as its “most cushioned hiking shoe,” has all the elements necessary to help you navigate the outdoors: impact-resistant CloudTec cushioning, a Missiongrip outsole made for wet and dry terrain, and a versatile design that’s worthy of rocking on city streets once you head back home.

The adidas SL 72 Walking Shoes Are the Only Travel Sneakers I Packed for a Euro Trip — Here’s Why. https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/adidas-sl-72-sneakers-review-1234751531/ Mon, 30 Dec 2024 20:21:38 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234751531 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Footwear News may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Retro sneakers have enjoyed their moment in the sun for several years, but no one has the trend on lock quite like the Three Stripes. The most popular adidas shoes of all time — be it the Samba, Superstar, Gazelle, Stan Smith, the list goes on — carry a legacy of athletics that’s become crystallized in culture through fashion. The brand’s archive proves time and time again to be a treasure trove of timeless icons, and the adidas SL 72 shoe, the newest hall of famer, is one of the most significant adidas heritage designs to date.

If you’re tapped into sneaker trends, odds are you’re familiar with the adidas SL 72. The shoe ranked as the second hottest sneaker on Lyst Index’s 2024 Q2 report, cameoed at Fashion Weeks across the globe, and sold out countless times over. But before its claim to fame this year, the obscure model had only been discovered by a niche group of adidas fans, one being Wales Bonner who’s collaborated on the sneaker since 2020.

Footwear News contributing writer Olivia Cigliano tests the adidas SL 72 sneakers.

The difference between the SL 72 OG and trendy sneakers from other brands is that it’s a real retro runner. “72” signifies its year of debut and “SL” for adidas’ revolutionary “super light” design conceived to propel track athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games. It’s an instant icon because it was the first adidas sneaker to ever don the Trefoil logo, and offers the thrill of owning a piece of sneaker history.

Although the best adidas running shoes have since innovated by leaps and bounds, the SL 72 now stands as a stylish and comfortable adidas walking shoe for the modern era. Sleek and streamlined, the evolved model features suede accents and breathable nylon uppers, which provide far more wiggle room for wide feet and bunions than similar-looking leather sneakers. The heel and midsole stack up with thin but plush EVA foam cushioning, while the rugged rubber outsole traction grips a wide range of terrain (more on that later).

It wasn’t until late 2023 that the SL 72 was relaunched to the masses in three now-signature colorways: blue, green, and the always-sold-out maroon iteration (which you can find in a similar Gazelle colorway that’s dwindling in stock). The color options expanded with a spring restock in 2024, back when Footwear News Shop predicted it’d be the it-shoe of the summer — but its exclusivity fueled by high demand and fashion insider adoration is launching the SL 72 to years long, Samba-level hype.

How We Tested the adidas SL 72 Sneakers

  • Product tested: adidas SL 72 OG Shoes
  • Tester foot type: Slightly flat arches; mild bunions
  • Testing time period: 6 months
  • Terrain tested: City pavement, cobblestone streets, grass, tile
  • Pros: Very lightweight, breathable, true-to-size, travel-friendly, slight arch support, roomy uppers, insole cushioning
  • Cons: Not ideal for harsh winter weather, lacks substantial support for foot ailments

Editor Testing & Review: adidas SL 72 OG Shoes

I’m a “dad shoe” loyalist (the opposite end of the retro shoe spectrum), so I’ve watched from the sidelines as slim sneakers cycled through the trends. Until this year, I couldn’t quit the pillowy comfort of highly cushioned sneakers. So why did the SL 72 OG finally win me over? It fulfilled both a need and a want.

When the bold shoe colored my social media feeds over the summer, its eclectic, laid-back look took residence in my head rent-free. And, although I had never owned a silhouette like the SL 72, my affinity for vintage fashion statements drove my desire. I was also gearing up for a trip to Italy and was in the market for a new pair of versatile and comfortable white sneakers I could bring along the way (my white “dad shoes” were out of commission after a muddy music festival). The Off White / Wonder Taupe / Wonder White colorway fit the bill, but I liked it because it wasn’t stark white and would play well with warmer tones in my wardrobe.

When I unboxed my pair, I was immediately taken aback by its feather-light feel. Slipping them on, they felt like I was barely wearing shoes at all, and my feet were right at home in the true-fitting 7.5 size. The 11.9 mm heel-to-toe drop cradled my slightly flat arches well, while the EVA foam midsole felt firm yet flexible underfoot. On my trip, the SL 72s successfully scaled uneven terrain like Roman cobblestone streets and steep cliffside steps, and the airy nylon uppers proved a godsend in sweltering European heat. Averaging seven miles of walking a day, I experienced very mild foot fatigue, which I attribute to activity levels outside of my norm, as that’s not the case when I wear the shoes for long jaunts in New York City.

I also found the SL 72s ideal shoes for travel, as their soft structure easily collapses, taking up about as much room in my luggage as a pair of sandals. They looked great with everything I packed, from sun dresses to straight-leg jeans, and continue to fare well with my winter wardrobe, as they balance proportions of baggier silhouettes. It’s worth noting that the suede has collected several scuffs over six months of wear, but it’s nothing that a once-over with a Magic Eraser can’t fix.

Do they deliver the cloud-like cushioning of a chunky sneaker? No. However, the SL 72 OGs offer more support and flexible comfort than similar minimal sneakers on the market. If you need more cushioning in a walking shoe, you can also opt for the SL 72 RS iteration, which will give you the same look with a thicker midsole and a supportive sockliner.

For such a pared-down design, this comfortable sneaker for women and men delivers ample stability and traction, all while infusing cool-girl, retro style appeal to any outfit. Consider me a slim sneaker convert — I’ll be waiting in the wings for the maroon colorway to restock, like everyone else.

As December’s social calendar flows into the New Year’s festive functions, ’tis the season to put your best foot forward. Similar to a swipe of red lipstick or a shimmery silver bag, a fresh pair of comfortable party shoes can breathe new life into the dresses and separates you’ve been wearing since Thanksgiving, rendering your holiday wardrobe staples entirely new.

Of course, it’s also the time of year when we’ve been dressed in our fineries and have spent hours mingling on our feet, leaving most of us with a craving for slippers over stilettos. Thankfully, there’s a whole world of comfortable dress shoes that don’t skimp on style appeal. Consider options from brands like Larroudé or Vivaia, both of which prioritize comfort with special features like ample cushioning or stretchy uppers.

Better yet, many of the season’s most prominent footwear trends have more to do with texture and minimalist silhouettes than they do with teetering in sky-high heels. Consider a pair of silver ballet flats from St. Agni that hug the contours of your feet without cramming them. Or opt for Tory Burch mules that make a statement with their suede uppers (a texture that we saw on spring 2025 runways from Chloé, Prada, and more), shimmery crystal embellishments, and edgy pierced detail. For those who still want a height boost without having to hobble through the end of the season, an elegant ankle boot or kitten heel has the power to buoy even the simplest items in your wardrobe, like a black slip dress or trousers and a chunky sweater.

Ahead, Footwear News editors reveal six tested-and-approved pairs of essential party shoes to end the year on a sartorial high note.

gold comfortable party heels
Larroudé Greta Disco Shoes in Gold Specchio
Go for gold with Larroudé’s Greta Disco shoes. These comfortable mules take notes from New Year’s Eve fireworks with an explosion of oversized sequins and a shiny gold leather sole. Create a tonal look by pairing them with a cream trousers, a white knit, and a gold shoulder bag; or play with a mixed metal moment by teaming them with a silver dress on Jan. 31.

Editor testing and review notes: “These chic kitten heels impressed me with unexpected comfort when I slipped them on — as is the case with most Larroudé shoes I’ve tried. Typically, mules are tricky for me to wear when I’m planning on walking around for a substantial amount of time, as my heels tend to slip out, leaving me unsteady. The upper on this pair is just wide enough to lock down my feet, ensuring that my foot stays flush against the cushioned sole.” — Footwear News Senior Beauty and Lifestyle editor Claire Sullivan

Tory Burch Pierced Crystal Mules
Tory Burch’s pierced shoes were seen on a slew of show goers at the brand’s spring 2025 runway show, including celebrities like Mindy Kaling, Elizabeth Olsen, and Michelle Williams, making the case for the silhouette as a runaway hit for the season ahead. Here, the pierced detail is done on a pair of suede mules with a smattering of crystal embellishments for more star power.

Editor testing and review notes: “Between the raised heel bed and pierced detail near the toe, these mules are full of surprises — and don’t exactly come off as comfortable at first glance. But after testing them, I realized that it’s those details that actually enhance their stability. The raised heel reduced arch strain compared to fully-flat shoes, while the pierced detail functions as a toe strap inside the shoe to keep my feet in place.” — Sullivan

Larroudé Mini Elle Pump in Wine Velvet
After making a splash as one of the most popular colors of the 2024, burgundy continues to trend for spring 2025, as seen on Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Miu Miu’s runways. For a festive touch, these Larroudé pumps are done in velvet with flower embroidery and an oversized bow affixed to the vamp. Memory foam cushioning provides a soft landing for every step, while a 2.5-inch heel is manageable for mingling on your feet.

Editor testing and review notes: “I typically reserve pointed toe heels for special occasions — with the expectation that I’ll have a blister or two at the end of the night. What’s great about Larroudé’s take on the popular shoe style is that the upper material is malleable and the toe box has a wide fit; this combination prevents that dreaded feeling of cramped toes. I struggle with plantar fasciitis, so I’m extra grateful for the memory foam cushioning that goes easy on my arches.” — Sullivan

red mary jane flats
Vivaia Square-Toe Mary Jane Shoes
A comfortable pair of flats is a great footwear staple to keep on hand for the busy holiday season — when your feet truly need a break, the best pair will offer the feel of a slipper in a party-ready package. This darling pair from Oprah-approved brand Vivaia is far more cushioned than standard flats, and feature a knit upper that stretches and molds to your feet.

Editor testing and review notes: “As soon as I slipped my feet into these Mary Janes, I was struck by how much cushioning the brand managed to pack into a shoe with such a slim profile. They feel far more substantial than your typical ballet flats (which tend to provide as much support as flimsy flip flops). The adjustable strap allows for loosening if your feet tend to swell after being on your feet for a few hours, too.” — Sullivan

silver slingback flats
St. Agni Envelope Slingback Flats
St. Agni’s prowess in creating meticulously-crafted, minimalist items has earned the brand a number of celebrity fans, including Meghan Markle, Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lawrence, to name a few. The brand’s simply chic ethos shines with this silver pair of ballet flats, which feature a stunning square toe and a stretchy back strap to keep your feet in place.

Editor testing and review notes: “I was initially drawn to this pair of party shoes for the envelope fold detail — how chic! But after testing them, I was more impressed by the buttery soft leather material itself, which requires zero time to break in before it feels like a second skin. These are a great pair of flats if you’re walking to a neighbor’s for a party (or bouncing between bars on New Year’s Eve) thanks to the thick back strap that keeps your feet aligned in the shoes.” — Sullivan

shiny brown boots with gold detail
Frances Valentine Marnie Soft Patent Crinkle Boots
Investing in a pair of chic ankle boots this time of year is a great decision, particularly when they’re festive enough for a party but not so over the top that you can’t wear them to work. Enter Frances Valentine’s Marnie Boots. The bold gold heel adds wow factor, but more importantly, stability. Instead of teetering on a stiletto, the chunky geometric heel keeps you steady on uneven surfaces or soft grass if you’re bundled up to celebrate outside. The chocolate brown tone just so happens to be trending for spring 2025, as seen in collections from Fendi, Gabriela Hearst, and more.

Editor testing and review notes: “These shoes redefine ankle boots for special occasions. The shiny patent leather feels more ooh-la-la than classic leather, while the gold heel elevates the overall silhouette for a dressy fête. They feel nice and sturdy underfoot — and while patent leather doesn’t stretch too much, these have a nice wide toe box that provides some wiggle room. I love that they can work with a cute sweater dress for the holidays or straight-leg jeans and a leather jacket for date night.” — Sullivan

The Latest adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball Sneakers Are Out Now — Here’s Why We’re Wearing Them On and Off the Court. https://footwearnews.com/shop/shoes-guide/adidas-fear-of-god-athletics-2-basketball-sneakers-1234739768/ Fri, 06 Dec 2024 18:18:41 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234739768 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. adidas and Fear of God Athletics have officially dropped the highly-anticipated seasonal collection that includes the buzzed-about Basketball II Sneakers in a rich chocolate colorway. Introducing a new seasonal capsule of essential, sports-focused footwear, the adidas sub-brand continues to push boundaries — much like founder Jerry Lorenzo promised.

Earlier this year, Lorenzo mentioned that his collaborative label with adidas had more sneakers on the way, including a revamped pair of basketball shoes that put performance at the forefront. And while the original silhouette faced some on-court critiques, the Basketball II builds on what it started and progresses with intention; they’re allegedly much lighter and far more supportive, but still every bit as sleek as the initial design that debuted in late 2023 at the Hollywood Bowl show.

The latest spawn from these two iconic brands comes in both high- and mid-top silhouettes. Both pairs have three striking stripes and uppers doused in a muted shade named “Night Brown,” then placed atop grippy outsoles with a multi-directional traction pattern fit for the hardwood. As a finishing touch, each feature co-branding at the heel. Long-term ankle protection aside, a noteworthy difference between each design is the high-top’s collar strap for extra support.

And, if the adidas Fear of God Athletics sneakers already looks familiar to any basketball fans, that’s because they’ve already made their NBA debut. Lakers guard Gabe Vincent has been rocking them on-court all season long, so rest assured knowing your feet are in good hands if the pros are rocking this night in and night out.

Best of all, the latest sneakers from adidas and Fear of God are accompanied by a whole new capsule, highlighted by the Suede Fleece lineup’s enviously soft feel and sturdy, double-knit construction. Pieces in this collection include a mock-neck, half-zip, hoodie, and track jacket, as well as pairs of relaxed-fitting pants and shorts that compose a whole fit. No matter which combination you opt for, you’ll stay active and comfortable from the neck down.

Try to secure pieces from the upcoming Fear of God Athletics collection when it drops on December 6th, with the Basketball II available starting from $180.

A great set of winter sneakers should mirror the mail-carrier motto — they deliver in the rain, snow, sleet, or shine. Sneaker innovation has progressed so far that, odds are, there’s already a winter-ready version of your favorite shoe. With a world of technical materials at their feet, major brands have adopted these elements to reimagine everything from timeless silhouettes to popular running shoes.

Frigid forecasts can severely damage most pairs of walking shoes, leaving them stained, soggy, and unwearable. While we love a good pair of beaters, there’s nothing fun about leaving them out to dry all night, only to wake up the next morning and realize you can barely even step in them to grab breakfast.

And, like your shoes, your feet are valuable, too. Weatherproof sneakers provide the security to spare you from blisters and moisture build-up, so they’ll even help you avoid any sudden doctor’s appointments. Before going all in on a pair based on looks alone, take a deeper look at comfortable shoes for men or women featuring GORE-TEX membranes for breathable water protection, some insulation to keep your feet warm, and lugged soles so you can stay stable on slippery floors. Once a shoe has one of these, they’ll likely have them all, but consider what you’ll use them for.

Whether you need shoes geared toward rainy-day runs or something casual made of revamped materials, functionality doesn’t mean you’re sacrificing style. Some of the shoe game’s biggest names have shown their all-condition prowess, including On, Nike, and even Vans. Most recently, adidas dropped CORDURA-crafted Samba OG sneakers that sold out in seconds, so rest assured knowing that the world’s most popular shoes can still be fail-safe options in your closet once temperatures drop.

So follow our dedicated guide and see if your everyday pair has a weatherproof counterpart, or discover a new set of winter sneakers for your seasonal wardrobe.

adidas x Wales Bonner Samba Millenium Metallic Unisex Sneakers

No one’s asking you to leave brat green in 2024, but winter’s coolest sneaker trends come in a kaleidoscope of colors that’ll carry you well through the new year. So, no matter what end of the rainbow you’re trying to capture (or avoid entirely), there’s surely a pair of trendy shoes ready to help you achieve the hue you love.

With the rise of workwear and hiking-inspired fashion, earthy shades like moss green, beige, and brown have become equally popular, finding the flawless balance between rugged and tranquil. Some of the world’s finest brands have recently propelled this trend, including Dries Van Noten’s ’70s-esque sneakers and Asics’ cardboard-inspired joint effort with Doublet.

A dark, stealthy look could never go out of style either, a fact proven virtually every day, though most recently by Nike’s upcoming all-black Dunk Pack and teased Dover Street Market collab: a blacked-out pair of Vomero 5s with glowing green accents. But Nike’s not the only one getting in on the action, with pitch-dark partnerships put forth by everyone from Hagel and Asics to Under Armour and Balenciaga.

On the other hand, if you want something more colorful, consider the ubiquitous shade of burgundy or maroon, two hues that everyone from New Balance to Gucci has brought to light. Frankly, since the Italian luxury house unveiled its Rosso Ancora collection in late 2023, the merlot-colored train hasn’t slowed down, and Nike’s sneak peek at the Air Max 1000 suggests it’s only speeding up.

And if you need shoes that’ll bring extra shimmer to your ensemble, look no further! There’s an onslaught of silver silhouettes on the market and horizon, like Wales Bonner’s latest pair of Samba Millenniums, ALOHAS’ Tb.490, and Diesel’s Serendipity sneakers.

Like most years, 2024 has been more than kind to footwear brands paying homage to themselves, be that in the form of chunky pairs that help you pull off Y2K-inspired outfits from head to toe, iconic kicks that have stood the test of time since well before 2000, and several cutting-edge pairs that toe the lines between streamlined and mountainous. So whether you’re eyeing something sleek to wear while waiting for your seasonal flight or a chunkier pair to get you through the rain, our guide to the best sneaker color trends for winter has the right option.

Adidas VL Court 3.0 Shoes
adidas VL Court 3.0 Shoes
Dubbed by many as the seamless alternative to combat constant Samba hype, the three stripes’ VL Court 3.0 silhouette is available in a variety of similar colors and materials, but this sleek silver option separates itself from the pack. While simple enough to wear with jeans and a tee, you can just as easily dress the sneaker up as many celebrities did with Sambas all awards season long.
Nike P-6000 Men's Shoe
Nike P-6000 Shoes
By Frankensteining two of its most popular Pegasus sneakers, Nike made some of the most prominent early-aughts silhouettes fit flawlessly in today’s world — yes, the same world where Y2K appeal is everywhere you look. With a cushy foam midsole and grippy rubber outsole, the track-inspired kicks are great to wear with casual outfits that suggest you just went on a run, although we don’t recommend actually running in these.

Adidas x Wales Bonner Samba Millenium Metalic Unisex Sneaker
adidas x Wales Bonner Samba Millenium Metallic Unisex Sneakers
As part of its most recent collection with adidas, Wales Bonner’s latest take on the iconic Samba shimmers from heel to toe. Its standout design is based around a two-tone-and-texture leather upper akin to a mullet — except smooth in the front and croc-embossed in the back — that’s easy to rock with virtually any pair of pants, be them skinny or baggy or jeans or trousers.
