According to the Weyco Group-owned men’s shoe brand, it is launching a four-piece anniversary capsule line inspired by its original Madison, Dayton and Concorde models.

Founded by William H. Stacy and Henry L. Adams in Brockton, Mass. in 1875, the company noted that its new anniversary capsule closely resembles hero products that defined the brand throughout its history.

Included in the line-up is the Henry Cap Toe Lace up Boot, which draws inspiration from the Madison, and updates it with a rich leather upper, modern stacked heel, and FlexZone technology for comfort. Next is the William Cap Toe Oxford, also inspired from the Madison, features line of perfing along the toe and a stacked heel with FlexZone technology.

The capsule also features the Dayton II Wingtip Oxford shoe, which combines stark black and white contrast patent leather into one, and the Concorde II Cap Toe Oxford, which features a patent upper with a modern silhouette and microfiber linings.

“Reaching our 150th anniversary is a testament to our dedication to both tradition and innovation,” Brian Flannery, president of Stacy Adams, said in a statement. “We’ve evolved alongside our customers while staying true to our commitment to style, quality, and authenticity.”

“We are incredibly proud of our history, but even more excited for what lies ahead,” added John Florsheim, president and chief operating officer of Weyco Group Inc. “Our future will be defined by innovation, authenticity, and a relentless focus on meeting the diverse needs of our customers.”

The Stacy Adams 150th Anniversary capsule collection, which retails between $110 and $150, is now available now on StacyAdams.com and other select retailers in the United States.

G.H. Bass and Vilebrequin Come Together on Navy Boat Shoes for Spring https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/g-h-bass-vilebrequin-boat-shoes-release-info-1234768030/ Tue, 11 Feb 2025 18:44:46 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234768030 All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Footwear News may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Brands still seem to be betting on boat shoes.

The latest model to hit the market comes from American footwear brand G.H. Bass and French swimwear brand Vilebrequin.

The new collaboration features an exclusive men’s silhouette, the Hampton Boater in Navy. Handsewn in nubuck leather with the signature Vilebrequin turtle embossed throughout, the Boater features a full leather lining, shaped arch support, Vibram rubber soles for enhanced traction, and insoles with 5mm EVA foam for comfort.

This launch comes as brands like Sebago and Sperry double down on the boat shoe with recent projects. In fact, at Sebago, almost 90 percent of its sales in the spring/summer seasons came from boat shoes, the company’s global brand manager and creative director Marco Tamponi told FN in an interview in December.

“It’s clear that the next trend seems to be the boat shoe, thanks to some of the most important luxury brands who have shown them in recent collections, including Miu Miu and many others,” Tamponi said at the time. “I mean, the Miu Miu boat shoe is clearly inspired by a Sebago shape from the ‘80s, but we are very happy to inspire them, and we are starting to see the trends translating into sales in our Docksides’ business.”

As for Sperry, it has teamed up with Nordstrom this month to highlight its boat shoe offering as part of the retailer’s Make Room for Shoes program. For the month of February, the two companies have come together on limited-edition capsule collection of footwear designed specifically for the retailer.

The new G.H. Bass x Vilebrequin Hampton Boater shoe, which retails for $320, is now available in sizes 39 through 46 exclusively at Vilebrequin.com and Vilebrequin retail stores.

Blundstone and Comme des Garçons Homme Team Up to Launch Chef-Inspired Clogs https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/blundstone-comme-des-garcons-homme-clogs-collaboration-1234766181/ Sat, 08 Feb 2025 02:26:08 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234766181 Comme des Garçons has linked with yet another brand, this time heritage boot brand Blundstone.

Comme des Garçon Homme creative director Junya Watanabe drew inspiration from Blundstone’s All-Terrain series, originally crafted with culinary professionals in mind, to create the exclusive #2453 clog. Limited to just 500 pairs, the new clog features a black waterproof leather upper embossed with CDGH’s logo and a blue and white striped lining displaying co-branding detailing on the insole. Grippy, slip-resistant Vibram soles finish off the design.

While the exterior of the clog offers a rugged, no-nonsense appearance, the beachy blue and white striped lining delivers a look that’s ideal for spring and summer. The style is great for those in the culinary profession, as well as gardeners or really anyone who is on their feet a lot.

This collaboration coincides with the restocking of Blundstone’s popular clog collection this month. The brand’s All-Terrain and Originals clogs are both available to shop again. The Tasmanian footwear brand known for its hardwearing boots was founded in 1870 and has maintained a strong customer base over the decades. Last September, the brand launched its first-ever global campaign, which highlighted the stories of wearers of their boots.

“The more you wear a pair of Blundstones, the more they begin to reflect the life you live,” said CEO Adam Blake. “Every scuff and mark has a story, intertwined with your life experiences and personality. Like wine, our boots only get better with age.”

Meanwhile, Comme des Garçons’ Junya Watanabe is practically the king of collaborations, along with Kith’s Ronnie Fieg. The Japanese creative director has designed shoes in partnership with Nike, Converse, New Balance, and Vans through the years. Some of his most memorable collaborations include the eyeball graphic CDG x Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 in 2016 and the neon pink CDH x Nike Air Max 180 sneaker in 2018. More recently, the edgy brand showcased a pink and white co-branded Nike model resembling the Air Max 96 on the runway at Paris Fashion Week last summer.

The Comme des Garçons Homme x Blundstone clog will be available to shop throughout February, exclusively at select Comme des Garçons stores and stockists, including Ssense, Kith, and more.

5 of the Craziest Men’s Shoes From Paris Fashion Week Fall 2025 https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/craziest-mens-shoes-paris-fashion-week-fall-2025-1234761759/ Mon, 27 Jan 2025 20:38:19 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234761759 There is a lot to digest from this month’s fall/winter 2025 men’s fashion shows in Paris.

From Rick Owens’ persistent willingness to push the boundaries of footwear design to Comme des Garçons’ interesting use of proportions and details, there were plenty of attention-grabbing shoes in Paris this season.

Some eye-catching styles came in the form of an otherworldly molded shell, while others played with unexpected elements and accents. Here, a look at the craziest (in a good way) and most talked-about men’s shoes from the fall ’25 collections in Paris this month.

Charles Jeffrey Loverboy

Scottish designer Charles Jeffrey is back with his latest punk meets experimental collection. Jeffrey’s signature claw shoe series, which first made an appearance in autumn/winter 2019 in conjunction with British footwear maker Roker, returns this season in the form of chunky Wellington boots. Building off of the banana-inspired silhouette seen last fall, Jeffrey updates the boot in an all-black version with silver grommets and a white interior.

Comme des Garçons

Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Comme des Garçons, Paris, Paris fashion week, Paris fashion week mens, menswear, mens shoes, fall 2025

Comme des Garçons Homme Plus collection debuted an army boot with the toe box upturned at a 90-degree angle. Rei Kawakubo said it was her saying “To hell with war” – with the boot seemingly sending a message that war is a dead end.

Feng Chen Wang x Ugg

Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang accessorized her latest collab with Ugg, two styles of Tasman Lug boots with crack effect coating and 3D-printed shells. The intricate and dramatic silhouette was inspired by mythical creatures depicted in “Classic of Mountains and Seas,” an ancient collection of epic tales.

Rick Owens

For fall 2025, Rick Owens delivered a set of oversized boots that recall the feet of feathered roosters. Done in collaboration with Parisian designer Victor Clavelly, the boots are made with heavyweight Groppone cow leather. Pieces of the leather are laser cut and woven together by hand to create a chain-linked effect.

Sacai x Ugg

Sacai, Ugg, Paris, Paris fashion week, Paris fashion week mens, menswear, mens boots, collaboration, fall 2025

Sacai designer Chitose Abe delved into Maurice Sendak’s children’s classic “Where the Wild Things Are” for her latest collection. “We wanted to take our friends to the wild side, and walk there together,” said Abe, referring to her collaborators at Carhartt, Ugg and J.M. Weston. This was especially seen in her collaboration with Ugg, where shearling spilled over the front of a pair of knee-high boots while the back of the shoe is exposed – where you can see the platform sole and several belted closures.

From Jacquemus to KidSuper: Fresh Footwear Takes Center Stage at Paris Fall 2025 Men’s Shows https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/paris-fashion-week-mens-shoes-fall-2025-1234761526/ Mon, 27 Jan 2025 16:08:31 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234761526 The fall 2025 Paris men’s fashion week came at a slower pace amid an economic downturn, but footwear players remain resilient. Many of them stole the spotlight on the runway with their latest collaborations.

At Jacquemus, the designer’s fresh take on Nike’s Moon Shoe was equally elegant as the couture-inspired main collection presented in the private apartment of architect Auguste Perret, an Art Deco jewel with oak paneling and concrete pillars. The style, which was Nike’s first-ever sneaker debuted in 1972, now comes in a light yellow hue and a waffle sole.

The London-based Kiko Kostadinov took his partnership with Asics to the realm of the great outdoors. He debuted two low-top sneakers and three Ninja-looking boots. These a-walk-in-the-woods-ready models stem from the split-toe Marathon Tabi model from the 1950s.

Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang, meanwhile, accessorized her latest collab with Ugg, two styles of Tasman Lug boots with crack effect coating, with 3D-printed shells. Equally eye-catching were those Rick Owens oversized boots that recall the feet of feathered roosters. Done in collaboration with Parisian designer Victor Clavelly, the boots are made with heavyweight Groppone cow leather. Pieces of the leather are laser cut and woven together by hand to create a chain-linked effect.

KidSuper’s Colm Dillane meanwhile gave Bape’s iconic Sta sneakers and clogs a major upgrade. During the preview, the designer said the star of the show belonged to the Bape Sta sneaker done in a special Japanese fabric. Called the Super Sashiko Bape Sta, Dillane dubbed the style the “shoe of the year.”

Along with this sneaker, there is also a patent leather brown Bape Sta and another in a mint green colorway. There are all three sneaker-clog hybrids with a KidSuper face print mashed up with signature Bape motifs. Throughout the range, Dillane also added an eye to the shoe’s signature star on the side.

On’s latest collaboration with Post Archive Fraction, revealed at the brand’s presentation on Sunday, included Cloudmonster 2 in a new monochrome color palette, and the return of Cloudventure Peak. Post Archive Fraction also presented a new Wallabee Boot design in beige and light gray developed with Clarks.

French designer Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, winner of the Adnam fashion award last year, brought piked gloves and sock sneakers from his latest Puma collaboration. He also showed a range of statement boots and pointy heels in partnership with Ecco.kollektive.

Speaking to statement boots, Comme des Garçons’ runway show for its Homme Plus line debuted an army boot with the toe box upturned at a 90-degree angle. Rei Kawakubo said it was her saying “To hell with war.”

The Japanese retailer also showcased a string of footwear partnerships in the showroom. The Homme Plus line offered a spin on the Nike Air Rejuven8. For Black Comme des Garçons, CDG revisited the Nike Field General 82 distorted co-branding.

It also tapped New Balance for a slim, suede take on the 471 sneakers for Junya Watanabe Man, and spun the 509 sneakers in white and gray colorways for Comme des Garçons Homme.

Fellow Japanese brand Auralee offered a new take on the New Balance T500, a tennis shoe silhouette that debuted in 1982, in brown and lime green colorways.

A look from Axel Arigato's fall 2025 collection
A look from Axel Arigato’s Fall 2025 collection

Swedish label Axel Arigato’s fall 2025 range is also embracing a more casual direction. Highlights included the open-back mules with sneaker soles; the Slow Runner, a style that combines the top-selling Marathon model’s original upper with a lower, new outsole; and the Tact Runner, which is the brand’s first low-profile silhouettes and comes in four colorways made from either fluffy hairy suede or distressed denim.

Dovetailing with the brand’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which according to creative director Jens Werner is the biggest and most diverse offering, Axel Arigato’s core sneaker range is becoming more lifestyle-driven too.

An example of that would be Eris, a new model with a low profile and flat sole, crafted with interlocking suede and leather profile panels. Werner said he hopes the style can help the brand reach more female customers, and eventually convert them to shop ready-to-wear.

Luxury brands went big on footwear too.

Mirroring KidSuper’s all-out Bape collab, Pharrell Williams wowed the internet leading up to the show with an array of shades of the new bulky ButterSoft sneaker for Louis Vuitton. The new sneaker draws inspiration from the early 2000s and features a pillow-like, extra-soft leather that frames the sneaker. Unveiled in fifty colorways, its tongue is adorned with the silhouette of Williams’ face profile.

Other key styles seen at the Vuitton show included Bubble, which is a bulky, blown-up silhouette applied to loafers, derbies, motorcycle boots, lace-up boots, and Mary-Janes in black, burgundy, or cream leather as well as editions in embossed camo leather and rockabilly two-tone leather.

Dior took a more classic route. Pairing nicely with Kim Jones’ delicate couture-inspired fall collection, the standout shoe was the Chelsea boot with a satin bow tied into a ribbon on the front as its defining feature.

John Lobb’s fall 2025 range was a study of the fine line between formal attire and practicality.

During the presentation, John Lobb chief executive officer Philippe Gonzalez said the brand is adapting as its customer base is evolving, requiring shoes that can adapt to different lifestyles, such as casual comfort for multifaceted daily activities.

Gonzalez also took pride in the launch of John Lobb’s first bag, a shoe carrier that can be used as a casual backpack big enough to fit a laptop. He then revealed that the brand is in retail expansion mode, with plans to open a third U.S. store in early 2026.

Rick Owens Shows Striking Feather-Like Boots for Fall 2025 in Paris https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/rick-owens-mens-shoes-fall-2025-paris-fashion-week-1234760747/ Thu, 23 Jan 2025 20:00:43 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234760747 Rick Owens is never one to disappoint when it comes to new and interesting footwear innovations.

And the American designer did just that at his fall/winter 2025 men’s show at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris on Thursday, serving up a collection filled with showstopping shoes.

The shoes that caught everyone’s attention came via multiple pairs of oversized boots that recall the feet of feathered roosters in the wild. Done in collaboration with Parisian designer Victor Clavelly, the boots are made with heavyweight Groppone cow leather.

Pieces of the leather are laser cut and woven together by hand to create a chain linked effect. Clavelly, who specializes in designs that exaggerate the body, then placed the leather in a way to make the pieces appear to flair out towards the bottom of the boot for a feather-like appearance.

The silhouette harkens back to the inflated rubber pull-on stretch boots that Owens created in collaboration with London designer Straytukay for fall 2024. The boots were seen again for spring 2025 in a pared-down, leaner silhouette.

Other shoe highlights for fall 2025 came in the form of the Factory boot. Owens described this model as a recreation of the height and inclination of the brand’s famous Kiss boot, but with an extra stable industrial sole for “steady footing on factory stairs.”

Owens’ factory inspiration was a common theme for fall 2025. The collection, dubbed “Concordians,” is an ode to the small industrial Italian town of Concordia where Owens does much of his production.

“Naming this collection Concordians, I was thinking about my 22 years of traveling to our factory,” Owens wrote in his show notes. “And not just alone but with my team, all traveling from their respective glittering cities – to live here in a kind of studious isolation. Almost bleakness. This cloistered life seems to be what it takes to be able to focus on reaching for something weird and wonderful…. I want to depend on less things but make them as supernatural as possible.”

From Oversized Sneakers to New Yeti Boots, Bulky Shoes Dominated Pharrell’s Fall 2025 Louis Vuitton Men’s Collection https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/louis-vuitton-mens-shoes-fall-2025-paris-fashion-week-1234760010/ Wed, 22 Jan 2025 18:12:52 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234760010 Pharrell Williams took his Louis Vuitton men’s footwear to a new dimension for fall/winter 2025.

Indeed, the French brand’s men’s creative director used an oversized volume to make a new shoe statement this season – most notably with the new LV ButterSoft sneaker. First teased last week on social media, the new sneaker draws inspiration from the early 2000s and features a pillow-like, extra-soft leather that frames the sneaker. Unveiled in fifty colorways, its tongue is adorned with the silhouette of Williams’ face profile.

The sneakers are presented in an array of shades that recalls Williams’ Adidas Superstar “Supercolor” collection, which featured 50 different colors. Social media users are also drawing comparisons between the new Louis Vuitton design and Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club Ice Cream Board Flip sneakers from the 2000s, which were issued in visually similar rainbow spreads.

Other shoes to walk Tuesday’s runway take cues from workwear shoes and boots. This includes the new LV Bubble, which is a bulky, blown-up silhouette applied to loafers, derbies, motorcycle boots, lace-up boots and Mary-Janes in black, burgundy or cream leather as well as editions in embossed camo leather and rockabilly two-tone leather.

Other shoe styles include the LV Remix hiking-inspired mountain derby, which features chunky braided laces and technical hooks, crafted in green, pink, blue, burgundy, tan or black leather.

Louis Vuitton, Pharrell WIlliams, Pharrell, Paris, Paris fashion week, men, fall 2025, men's, mens shoes, Nigo

Finally, the LV Yeti makes a statement by splicing together a sheepskin and puffer boot into a padded silhouette on a rubber sole, in sand suede or three bouclé colorways. The style further features as a slipper in sand suede or leopard-print cow hair and as a high-top in mixed suedes, while all versions also appear in all-black suede.

This season is Williams’ fourth major collection for Louis Vuitton men’s following his appointment in 2023. This season, Williams unveiled a new collaboration with his longtime friend Nigo.

The collection they unveiled Tuesday in a mirrored box in a courtyard of the Louvre museum honored that history explicitly, through the circular set modeled after a clothing vault filled with archival designs.

Church’s Updates Its Signature Chetwynd Dress Shoe With New Tech For Fall 2025 https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/churchs-chetwynd-contour-dress-shoe-fall-2025-1234758901/ Mon, 20 Jan 2025 19:14:20 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234758901 Church’s took over Milan’s Biblioteca Braidense this weekend to show its autumn/winter 2025 footwear collection.

During the presentation, the Prada-owned company highlighted its signature Chetwynd style with the introduction of the new Chetwynd Contour dress shoe. Made on the signature 173 last, the Chetwynd Contour’s main update is a thicker upper that gives it both sturdiness and character.

Interestingly, though, the shoes are made with a new technology that uses high-frequency waves on plates and machinery to engrave the traditional wingtip design into the leather without compromising the upper. Guided by a craftsperson, his technique produces “unique and captivating embossed effects while maintaining the shoe’s rounded toe and distinctive features,” Church’s said.

Other styles on view this weekend in Milan included the Poulton hiking boots, the Consul 2.0, the McEntyre LW boots and the Preston loafers.

But this new reinterpretation of the old Chetwynd classic comes as the footwear brand aims to reach a wide range of consumers. In November, Church’s released a cheerful holiday campaign that stars its most popular styles, from suede Oxford brogues to cushy velvet loafers, in a celebratory setting.

Shot in the UK at St. Giles House in Dorset, ancestral home to the 12th Earl of Shaftesbury, models are pictured riding motorcycles and dancing on tables, Sloane Ranger-style.

The brand’s seasonal celebrations come on the heels of its 50th anniversary campaign, which was released in October.

Starring British actor and “Industry” star Harry Lawtey, the campaign was shot in the 18th century country house West Wycombe House in Buckinghamshire. The home is famed for being the setting of Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange” and Marek Kanievska’s 1984 film “Another Country” starring Rupert Everett and Colin Firth.

The new Chetwynd Contour – available in brushed leather in black, navy blue and wood green colorways – will be on sale in stores and at church-footwear.com from April 2025.
